Maple Ridge First Aid is proud to offer our clients customized safety consulting.

Initial consultation to determine the scope of your needs is free (excluding travel outside the Lower Mainland) and is provided as a service to help protect all workers.

1) Auditing, Inspection and Evaluation

Creating a plan that addresses the gap between where you are and where you want to be is key to any safety program. The first step is to determine what issues you have, and what your safety system and styles are. Maple Ridge First Aid offers:

2) Policy and Procedure Development

With your input and using your standard corporate styles, we will work with you to develop and present any necessary documentation. Using our service is more time and cost effective and lets you do what you do best - run your operations.

Parachuting in a canned document is ineffective. If that worked, WorkSafeBC would write one document for everyone instead of insisting each company develop their own. Our specialists have written in many styles for many sizes of company.


3) Claims Management

The objective of any safety program is to reduce the frequency and severity of injury and disease. Claims management is a required step to help reduce the severity of cases that have happened and to return the worker to full productive health as quickly as possible.

Our administrative claims management team can help you with:

  • Investigation techniques, focusing on reducing repeat occurrences
  • Effective, accurate online reporting to WorkSafeBC to speed the adjudication process
  • Improving labour relations while reducing claim and penalty costs
Individual claims management assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.

4) Return to Work / Stay at Work program development

Having an employee perform meaningful work that they are capable of is the single most effective therapy for their rehabilitation.

Having a Return to Work / Stay at Work program is a WorkSafeBC requirement.

Maple Ridge First Aid can help you:

  • Identify tasks available for the injured worker
  • Systematically assess workers
  • Conduct appropriate follow-up
  • We can also provide training or program oversight as needed

5) Training and Mentoring
